An alternative to a wedding ring

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe, either by RSS reader or by email.

You may also like to check out an offer I've put together for you at my other website!

Wedding plans are in full swing and it’s hard to believe the wedding is now only 10 weeks away!! How did that happen? Time flies but this is ridiculous!! I was a calm and relaxed bride, now I’m stressed out and starting to feel a bit sick as I realise what I need to do to make it all happen!

On my travels around the internet (which is all I seem to do during the evening) I came across something I’d not seen before, Promise rings! It seems that you exchange them as a symbol of your love and commitment, without the having to get married!

What a great idea and think of all the money I would have saved not getting married and divorced twice before!

You can read more promise ring information here.

Anniversary gifts

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

Ok….so I know I’m not married yet, but I’m already thinking about an anniversary gift for him.

It’s probably because my cousin and her husband recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary which is leather! (Who thinks these things up?) She could have bought him some obvious leather items…..instead she found an author whose surname is Leather, and bought a couple of his books! She had no idea whether these books were any good, but what a brilliant and creative idea!

Men, I find, are very difficult to buy for. I don’t know any friends who wouldn’t appreciate a scarf, flowers, chocolates, smellies, jewellery, clothes,  a watch or a cuddly toy to name but a few!

In fact, last year for her 40th, I bought the same cousin 40 gifts! Do you know what? It was easy!! In fact I could have bought her 50 or 60 gifts and I wouldn’t have run out of ideas. My OH on the other hand is incredibly hard to buy for, unless it’s a book about business or computing and that’s just boring!

So, no doubt I won’t be able to move with all the flowers I’ll recieve on our anniversary’s, as for him….lets hope there are plenty of authors whose surnames are paper, cotton, wood, china etc.
